Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc. in Los Angeles appointed Gregory C. Crews as president of the company’s Weinstocks division, based in Sacramento, effective Sept. 1. Crews has served as president and chief executive of the company’s market services division since 1985. He joined Market Services in 1984 as senior vice president and general merchandise manager. Cheryl Turpin will continue as chairman and chief executive of Weinstocks, which operates 12 stores in California, Nevada and Utah.
