Newspaper Chain to Go Public: Central Newspapers Inc., the Indianapolis-based newspaper chain that controls the Arizona Republic and Phoenix Gazette, is going public. Under the plan, about 200,000 shares of Central Newspapers’ Class A stock will be available for sale. Currently, those shares have no voting rights. But under changes approved by shareholders last month, those shares will have one-tenth the voting rights of Class B shares. The Class B stock will not be available for public sale.
