Via Lido Plaza on Newport Beach’s Balboa Peninsula is undergoing a $1.5-million remodeling with a nautical motif. The developer, Orange-based Fritz Duda Co., says the face-lift “will re-energize not only Via Lido Plaza but the entire entrance to Balboa Peninsula.”
The 81,000-square-foot shopping center includes a local landmark--the Edwards Via Lido Cinema, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this fall--and a Pavilions Place which was originally Richards Via Lido Market.
