Conejo Valley Wins Regional-Final Berth

Adam West pitched a three-hitter and struck out 11 Thursday to lead Conejo Valley to a 3-2 win over Spring Valley, Nev., and a berth in the championship round of the Senior League Western regional championships in Las Vegas.
Conejo Valley must beat Union City, Calif., tonight and again Saturday morning to win the double-elimination regional and advance to the World Series in Kissimmee, Fla.
A single by Chris Loll scored Brian Capella with the winning run in the fifth inning. Jeff Olin doubled for Conejo (14-3) and Ryan Kritscher had two hits to give him nine in three regional games.
Both Spring Valley runs were unearned.
