Villa Park : Drowning Victim Is Identified by Police

A woman who drowned in a Villa Park swimming pool was identified Friday as Hermina Gomez, 20, a Guatemalan citizen who was visiting friends when the accident occurred, police said.
Gomez was found Thursday in the pool at a residence in the 19000 block of Valley Drive. She was wearing a swimming suit when she was found, police said.
A spokesman for the coroners’ office said Gomez was visiting friends at the house and could not swim.
The death has been termed accidental by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
