The Walt Disney Co. has filed a major anti-piracy lawsuit in Pennsylvania, citing that the most extensive list of unreleased Disney animated films ever found in one place has been seized by federal marshals there. The lawsuit, filed in Philadelphia federal court, accuses Charles Forment of Bethlehem, Penn., and his store, Nostalgia Video, of copyright and trademark infringement. It also seeks an injunction stopping Forment from duplicating and distributing the films and forfeiture of the cassettes and duplicating equipment, said Disney spokeswoman Judy Denenholz. She said raids on Forment’s home and business yielded 18 VCRs believed to be used for illegal duplication, as well as multiple copies of several Disney films not yet released on videocassette, including “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Fantasia,” “Peter Pan,” “The Jungle Book,” “Aristocats,” “101 Dalmatians,” “Bambi,” “Song of the South” and “The Fox and the Hound.”
