ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia head football coach Ray Goff was released from St. Marys Hospital on Sunday after two days of treatment for an acute stomach infection.
Georgia sports information director Claude Felton said Goff plans to attend a Bulldog Club meeting tonight in Albany as scheduled. The Bulldogs are to begin football practice Aug. 26.
Goff, 34, who succeeded 25-year veteran Vince Dooley earlier this year, checked into the hospital Friday morning with an acute viral case of gastroenteritis, or inflammation in the stomach area.
