Sheff Drives In Key Run as U.S. Defeats Taiwan

Chris Sheff, who graduated from Laguna Hills High School in June, drove in the game-winning run as the U.S. team defeated Taiwan, 8-3, Thursday in the World Junior Baseball tournament at Trois-Rivieres, Canada.
The victory gave the U.S. a 5-0 record in pool play. The U.S will play Australia (4-1) on Saturday.
Sheff went one for three and had the game-winning RBI with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.
The score was tied, 3-3, with no outs and runners on second and third when Sheff hit his sacrifice fly. The U.S. scored two more runs in that inning and two more in the sixth.
Sheff also scored a run and stole a base.
