Credit Card Service Relocating to Midwest

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Monogram Retailer Credit Services Inc. will close it office here, resulting in the elimination of 450 jobs.
Monogram handles the credit card accounts of Montgomery Ward & Co. The work done in Walnut Creek will be transferred to other Monogram offices in the Midwest.
Montgomery Ward will sell 84,000-square-foot building Monogram has occupied since 1970.
“By realigning operations, we will be able to take full advantage of the state-of-the-art technology we have put in place (in the Midwest),” said Monogram President Robert Watson.
