7 Filipino Gang Members Arrested

Seven members of two warring Filipino gangs were arrested and 33 weapons, including two AK-47 assault rifles, were seized early Friday morning in a series of raids across Los Angeles County, authorities said.
Officer Deborah Delgado, a member of the Police Department’s Asian gang unit that carried out Friday’s raids on nine homes, said the bad blood between the Filipino gangs dates back to April, when one gang member was seriously stabbed.
That attack was followed by at least five confrontations between the two gangs, including two drive-by shootings and the fire-bombing of a house, Delgado said.
No one was killed in the attacks, but several people were injured, Delgado said.
