Pateadores Among Leaders in Soccer Invitational

Several Orange County teams lead their divisions after the first day of the Mission Viejo Invitational soccer tournament Friday. There are 128 teams competing in Mission Viejo and El Toro.
In the boys’ 19-and-under division, the Mission Viejo Pateadores lead Group A after defeating the San Juan Teamen, 5-0, and the Las Chivas Sting, 2-1.
The North Huntington Beach Football Club is the first-day leader in Group B of boys’ 19-and-under after defeating the Santana (North San Fernando Valley) Football Club, 2-0, and the Encititas Sidekixx, 3-0.
Mission Viejo United leads the girls’ 19-and-under division in Group C after defeating the Sunny Vale Alliance, 7-0, and tying the Orange County Flames, 3-3.
The Villa Park Bratz defeated the Corona del Mar Riptide, 4-0, and tied the Bonita Rebels, 1-1, to lead Group D of the girls’ 19-and-under division.
In the girls’ 16-and-under division, the Mission Viejo Wildfire leads Group A after defeating the Anaheim Frontier Furies, 3-0, and defeating the Las Chivas Heat, 3-0.
