Fullerton Angels Win Legion Regional Title

Steve Trachsel pitched a six-hitter to lead the Fullerton Angels to a 4-3 victory over Las Vegas in the championship game of the American Legion Western Regional tournament Sunday at Union City, Calif.
Trachsel, who pitched at Fullerton College last spring, was the most valuable player of the tournament. He is 12-1 with six saves.
Fullerton advances to the Legion World Series in Millington, Tenn., which starts Wednesday.
