An Orange County Superior Court jury has awarded $3.3 million in damages to EECO Inc., a Santa Ana computer products company, as the result of a contract dispute between EECO and Litton Systems Inc.
EECO sued Litton’s Aero Products Division for breach of contract and fraud in 1985 after Litton canceled a contract. The contract called for EECO to build aircraft navigation control display units for the Aero Products unit.
The jury found Friday that Litton was not justified in canceling the EECO contract and that Litton had fraudulently misrepresented certain aspects of the contract.
The jury awarded EECO nearly $3 million in damages, plus more than $300,000 in interest costs.
