Camera Platforms International in Valencia, which leases production vehicles to the movie industry, said it lost $733,618 in the second quarter, compared to a $755,029 loss a year earlier.
The latest loss came on an increase in revenue for the quarter ended June 30, to $416,397 from $230,707 a year earlier. Camera Platforms blamed the loss in part on higher expenses, including increased interest costs on a $10-million line of credit extended by UST Enterprises.
For the first half of 1989, Camera Platforms lost $1.49 million compared to a $1.57-million loss a year earlier. Its six-month revenue climbed to $776,120 from $380,052.
