Orange : Counseling Agency Raises $12,000 at Event

More than $12,000 raised by Pilgrimage Family Therapy Center at its recent fund-raiser will go toward providing counseling for poor clients.
The center, at 540 N. Golden Circle Drive, Suite 302, in Santa Ana, is a private nonprofit agency with seven therapists. It has been operating about 10 years, said Robert D. Winandy, a spokesman for the organization.
Last year the agency counseled about 1,100 clients, Winandy said.
The event, which was at Disneyland, was the agency’s second major fund-raiser. The money will help the group subsidize services for those unable to pay, Winandy said.
