Bruce Poulton, who resigned Monday as chancellor of North Carolina State, said the alleged basketball improprieties may also force Coach Jim Valvano to resign as athletic director.
The allegations were made in Peter Golenbock’s book “Personal Fouls,” which claimed basketball players used drugs and that their grades were changed to keep them eligible.
Poulton said Valvano offered his resignation as athletic director two months ago. Valvano declined comment.
