I suppose that the usual coterie of complainers will write in to tell Forbes how he should be spending his money.
Malcolm Forbes made his money in a completely respectable manner. He didn’t rip off any stockholders. He didn’t do any LBO’s. He didn’t ask the government for any handouts. He produced a highly respected product--Forbes magazine.
It’s his money and he should be allowed to spend it as he sees fit. Those who have other views might do much better by regularly purchasing Forbes and gaining knowledge of how to acquire enough wealth so that perhaps they, or their children, can someday enjoy it as they see fit.
