Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes, whose best-selling novel “Gringo Viejo” has been adapted into the upcoming Jane Fonda-Gregory Peck-Jimmy Smits starrer “Old Gringo,” will read from his works tonight at the Los Angeles Theatre Center on Spring Street, as part of LATC’s 1989/90 Poetry/Literary series. Fuentes, who has had 10 novels published in the United States, is a former Mexican ambassador to France.
