Sting the Striver

The intellectual, creative and confident mind is increasingly becoming scarce as artists fall victim to the materialistic promises of stardom. I’m so tired of seeing artists compromise their creativity for an “easy escape” with a more than comfortable profit.

It is refreshing to see Sting break free from this mold (“Sting the Knife,” by Robert Hilburn, Oct. 29). He is an artist in the truest sense: unafraid to challenge himself, and talented enough to explore the artistic spectrum.
