$242,430 Loss Reported by International Remote

International Remote Imaging Systems, a maker of urinalysis machines for hospitals, reported a third-quarter loss of $242,430, compared with a loss a year earlier of $263,434.
The latest deficit came on a slight increase in the Chatsworth company’s sales, to $1.06 million in the quarter that ended Sept. 30 from $1.01 million a year earlier.
For the first nine months of this year, International Remote Imaging lost $1.39 million, compared with a $1.08-million loss in the comparable 1988 period. Its nine-month sales rose to $2.9 million from $2.58 million.
