Pedestrian Killed by Car in Canoga Park

A 62-year-old man was struck by a car and killed Thursday as he walked across a Canoga Park street, Los Angeles police said.
The man, whom police described as a transient, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 7:55 p.m. on De Soto Avenue near Hart Street, Sgt. Ray Lombardo said. The man was not in a crosswalk, Lombardo said.
The driver of the car was not cited or arrested, Lombardo said.
