Jim Murray’s Nov. 9 column is conclusive evidence that Pete Rose continues to gamble.
How else do you explain Rose’s calculated incomplete confession that coincides with a talk-show appearance and a book release? The risk is small compared to the payoff of a front-page press release, compliments of a boob such as Murray.
