Walker Scores 45 on Brea’s Opening Night

BREA — Keith Walker made the first game in Brea-Olinda High School’s new gym an unforgettable one. The senior tied his brother’s single-game school record with 45 points in a 67-49 victory over Paramount Friday.
Walker, a 6-foot-6 forward, tied the mark set by his brother Kevin in 1986. Kevin is a starting senior on the UCLA basketball team.
Walker scored 13 points in the first half, eight points in the second quarter, 13 in the third and 11 in the fourth. He also led Brea with 13 rebounds.
Brea-Olinda led, 19-8, at the end of one quarter and 31-20 at the half.
