If things go the University of Kentucky’s way, the school will introduce Denver Bronco assistant coach Mike Shanahan as its new football coach today, a published report said.
The university’s Athletics Board of Directors is scheduled to meet at noon (PST), when Shanahan could be introduced as the new coach. A university official told The Louisville Courier-Journal there’s an “80-85 percent” chance Shanahan will be there.
But as of Friday, Shanahan and Athletic Director C.M. Newton still did not have a written agreement with Shanahan, who was fired as Raider coach after four games this season, to take the job.
