Harold Lloyd Copyright Suit Filed: A trust set up by silent film star Harold C. Lloyd filed suit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles Tuesday seeking to block the use of a picture of Lloyd on the cover of a videocassette catalogue. The suit charges that a firm called Video Yesteryear used a photograph of Lloyd without paying a fee to the Lloyd estate. The photo was from the film “Safety Last,” in which Lloyd is shown clinging to the hands of a clock high above a street. Video Yesteryear could not be reached for comment.
