In other Orange League matches:
Brea-Olinda 4, Savanna 0--Jason Ochs scored twice and Jeff Ortiz and Marco Hernandez each had one to lead host Brea-Olinda (14-7-2, 8-1-1) to the victory and the league title.
Magnolia 4, Western 0--Jason Corder had two first-half goals and Eleazar Alvarado and Roger Crawford each scored in the second half for Magnolia (5-13-2, 3-7).
In the Century League:
Villa Park 4, Santa Ana Valley 0--David Szekeres, Ronald Lou, Jimmy Obleda and Jason Gilbert scored for host Villa Park (9-6-4, 4-4-2).
Canyon 1, El Modena 0--Canyon (11-7-5, 4-2-4) finished as runner-up to Santa Ana in the league race. Steve Frize scored 12 minutes into the match for visiting Canyon. El Modena ended 6-7-3, 1-7-2.
In the Empire League:
Cypress 2, Katella 1--Cypress (16-2-5, 7-1-2), in winning its first league title, took a 2-0 lead on goals by Gabriel Giannetti and Shade Badawiya. Ray Arvizu had eight saves for the Centurions.
Esperanza 3, Los Alamitos 0--Mark Donaldson, Trent Wise and Jason DeLucca each scored for Esperanza (14-4-5, 6-2-2).
In the Garden Grove League:
Kennedy 1, Pacifica 0--Host Kennedy (12-5-1, 8-4), needing either a tie or victory to clinch a Southern Section playoff spot, got the latter when Kim Kyong scored midway through the second half. Jerry Vargas had four saves for Kennedy.
La Quinta 0, Garden Grove 0--Host La Quinta (10-7-6, 6-1-5) may have been looking past Garden Grove (0-11-1 league record), but the Aztecs still set a league mark by only allowing five goals against them in league play.
In the Olympic League:
Orange Lutheran 3, Whitney 0--Greg Pargee, Lee Back and Ben Schroeder scored to lead Orange Lutheran (14-2-2, 12-2) to the league title.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 3, Laguna Beach 1--Brian Beaman, Scott Clark and Jared Heiner scored to lead visiting Laguna Hills (19-5, 12-3). Sergio Gill scored for Laguna Beach (3-14-1, 3-12). The Hawks’ 19 victories is a school record.
Orange 1, Trabuco Hills 1--Val Gutierrez scored for visiting Orange (16-0-4, 13-0-2). Trabuco Hills finished 9-9-5 in league play.
In the South Coast League:
Mission Viejo 5, San Clemente 0--Rick Marian, Darren Wittenmeire, Frank Pace, Dane Ihle and Rich Fiore scored for host Mission Viejo (13-6-5, 7-1-2), which clinched the league championship.
In Olympic League girls’ soccer:
Santa Margarita 6, Brethren 0--Allie Werve scored three goals to lead Santa Margarita (16-1-3, 11-1-2).
