Japanese Tapes Seized: A coordinated raid in Little Tokyo, West L.A. and Gardena resulted in the seizure Wednesday of about 10,000 videotapes dubbed or subtitled into Japanese, according to Mark Harrad of the Motion Picture Assn. of America. The majority were American movies, including “Batman,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and “Coming to America.” They were seized from Video Jack outlets. Harrad said that the raid was “one of the largest seizures” of allegedly pirated tapes in the United States.
