Gary Snook, 46, who set University of Iowa football passing records that stood for 20 years, died of throat cancer at his Pomona home Sunday. The body was cremated.
Snook passed for 2,062 yards in 1964 and threw for 3,738 yards in his career. Those figures stood as school records until Chuck Long broke them in the mid-1980s.
