HAIL THE CHAMP: Martina Navratilova, coming off her record ninth Wimbledon title, is headed for Newport Beach, where she’ll attend an Aug. 3 benefit for the UCI Athletic Foundation and the Women’s Sports Foundation. . . . Navratilova is joining the ceremonies to help honor her good friend Billie Jean King and will donate for auction a racquet she used at Wimbledon. . . . Organizers say she’ll check into the Four Seasons Hotel later this month, along with her five toy fox terriers.
