Home Builder Helps Homeless Families

Concordia Homes Inc. has started a program under which all profits from the sale of options and upgrades at a 175-home tract in Riverside County are donated to help homeless families.
So far, the San Bernardino-based builder has raised about $30,000 from its Springhaven development in Sun City, according to Dave Hubby of Concordia. Profits from Springhaven options and upgrades will go to the Door of Hope, a Pasadena-based homeless support group.
Hubby said that Concordia plans to continue this program in future residential projects, and the firm will present the idea for consideration by other members of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California.
