ROUND TWO? If former baseball commissioner and Olympics organizer Peter Ueberroth agrees to lead the charge for Measure M this year (A12), it won’t be the first time he’s been drafted to aid the transportation sales tax. “I’m definitely against tax increases,” Ueberroth, of Laguna Beach, wrote in a 1989 endorsement of the measure. “But sometimes there comes a point when you have to start thinking about what’s best for the future.” Still, the measure failed.
