Spark Sets Off Blast in S. Africa Mine; 10 Die

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — An explosion in an underground mine shaft Friday killed 10 miners and injured 20, the Anglo American Corp. mining company said.
Anglo American said a preliminary investigation indicated that an electrical fault ignited explosives in the shaft.
