Samuel Fuller wrote and directed “It Tolls for Thee,” a Virginian episode (Saturday at noon on Family) with Lee Marvin as a vengeful ex-convict. Fuller would again direct Marvin in the 1980 film “The Big Red One.”

The wordplay is even snappier than usual on Moonlighting (Monday at midnight on Lifetime) in a spoof of “The Taming of the Shrew.”
