Bright Spots: It’s not all negative out there, however.
Collins Fuller Corp., a Southern California brokerage, said its Newport Beach office in the past week has handled a $3-million industrial lease in Garden Grove and two transactions in Yorba Linda worth a total of $10 million.
Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., developer of the 200-acre Savi Ranch Business Park in Yorba Linda, just sold 11.7 acres to Hamilton Co., a Newport Beach developer, for $7.3 million. It also leased 51,379 square feet of an existing high-tech industrial facility to Curtin Matheson Scientific Inc., of Houston, for $2.7 million. The 8 1/2-year lease enables Curtin Matheson, which already leases 48,000 square feet, to expand and occupy the entire building.
And the Newport Beach office of Marcus & Millichap, a statewide brokerage, said it handled the sale of two Lake Elsinore neighborhood shopping centers recently. The 23,547-square-foot Lake Front Plaza went for $1.6 million and the 16,479-square-foot railroad Canyon Plaza fetched $2.75 million.
