Camarillo 44, Simi Valley 6--Senior running back Mike Madsen rushed for 160 yards in only four carries and scored on touchdown runs of 41 and 37 yards to lead visiting Camarillo in a Marmonte League opener.
Running back Brian Vellmure (130 yards in 11 carries) ran 36 yards to cap a four-play, 64-yard drive on Camarillo’s first possession. Simi Valley (0-4) lost fumbles on three of its first five possessions.
Camarillo (2-2) rolled up 380 yards rushing and limited Simi Valley to 34 yards on the ground.
