Abbott L. Brown has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Columbia Pictures Entertainment Inc. Brown, who will also be named to the company’s board, comes to Columbia from Price Waterhouse, where he served as group managing partner for Southern California. He replaces Larry Ruisi, who will work on film financing, exhibition and other strategic matters as an executive vice president based in New York.
