Texas Instruments Delivers Advanced Chips: The company said it has begun providing selected customers with sample quantities of advanced memory chips that can store more than 16 million bits of data. That’s four times the capacity of the most advanced chips available in larger quantities from chip makers. The Dallas-based firm said it expects to be among the leaders in supplying low-volume shipments of the 16-megabit chips, possibly by late next year.
