Countywide : Pair Arrested After 2 Bank Robberies

Two Gardena residents were arrested in connection with two Ventura bank robberies that occurred within 20 minutes of each other Friday afternoon, police said.
Ryan Keith Turner, 26, was being held at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery, said Sgt. Ray Nagel of the Ventura County Jail. Bail was set at $20,000.
The second person arrested was a 17-year-old juvenile. A police spokeswoman did not say if he had been taken to Juvenile Hall.
Security Pacific Bank, 9493 Telephone Road, reported a bank robbery about 11:30 a.m. First Interstate Bank, 5751 Telephone Road, reported a robbery 20 minutes later.
The suspects were arrested in the parking lot of the Vons Shopping Center across Telephone Road, according to a statement by the Ventura Police Department.
