Glendale, Antelope Valley, Moorpark Get Bowl Berths

Three area junior college football teams have earned berths in Dec. 1 bowl games.

Glendale (8-2), the Western State Conference Northern Division champion, will play Foothill Conference champion Citrus in the Southern California Bowl at Citrus, which is in Glendora, at 4 p.m.

Antelope Valley (8-2), which finished in a tie with Desert for second in the Foothill Conference, will take on 6-4 Palomar in the Hall of Fame Bowl at 1:30 p.m. in San Diego’s Balboa Stadium.

Moorpark (8-2) will have a rematch with Santa Monica City College (8-2) in the Western State Conference Bowl, set for 7:30 at Moorpark. Moorpark, the Northern Division runner-up, beat Santa Monica, second in the Southern Division, 44-38, at Santa Monica during the regular season.
