COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : OCC Rolls Past Marymount

Orange Coast College defeated Marymount, 102-73, Monday in the first round of the Mt. San Jacinto men’s basketball tournament, sparked by 22 points from Agustin Heredia, a freshman from Estancia High School.
Michael Wezloff scored 20 and Shane Takeshita added 16 for the Pirates (3-0).
In a nonconference men’s basketball game:
Imperial Valley 89, Saddleback 83--Greg Reynolds scored 18 points and Will Hutcheson had 10 points and nine rebounds for visiting Saddleback (2-2). James Morris had 27 points, seven assists, seven steals and six rebounds to lead Imperial Valley.
The score was tied, 60-60, with 12 minutes 45 seconds remaining in the game when Imperial Valley (3-1) scored 10 consecutive points in the next 2:30. Saddleback cut the lead to one point several times.
