‘Bootleg’ Housing Story Draws Fire, Claims of ‘Bias’

There’s an old adage: Never believe what you read in the newspapers. My interest in the (neighbors’) plight is basic. I live within a few miles of that very neighborhood and would not like to have that happen in my back yard.

There’s another old saying I am reminded of: Just the facts, ma’am. I hope that in the future Vicki Torres will feel the obligation to research the facts and report them in a less biased atmosphere.

In other words, is she planning on researching the zoning laws and doing a follow-up article? Interviewing the county zoning office representatives to get their official remarks? Writing about the other side of the story at all? Photographing the neighbors surrounding the Villareals?
