MISSION VIEJO : Commission Will Discuss Fee Proposal
- Share via
A proposed ordinance that would charge fees to developers to offset costs of improving Crown Valley Parkway is scheduled for discussion at a Planning Commission meeting tonight .
The proposal would enable the city to amass funds for widening the six-lane thoroughfare, modifying traffic signals and building drainage facilities. Money could also be used to improve the Crown Valley interchange at Interstate 5, according to a planning staff report.
The area affected by the proposed fees includes Mission Viejo Mall and is bounded roughly by Via Grande and Venado Drive on the north, Interstate 5 on the west, Marguerite Parkway on the east and Crown Valley on the south.
Tonight’s presentation is expected to include specific costs of the program and benefits to existing development in the area. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Room 180 at City Hall, 26522 La Alameda.
