Man Faces Charges for Having Unreleased Films

The owner of a Hollywood screening room where deputies say they found top-grossing films not yet released for video or television faces arraignment Dec. 18 on receiving stolen property, authorities said Monday.
Copies of films--including “The Rookie,” “Home Alone,” “Predator II,” and “Rocky V “--were discovered in the possession of Alfred Beardsley, 28, at his business in the 8700 block of Sunset Boulevard on the Sunset Strip, investigators said. Deputies had not determined the source of the films.
