Pregnant Pedestrian Killed, Child Injured

A pregnant woman walking across Linda Vista Road in a marked crosswalk was hit by a car and killed Monday afternoon, San Diego police said.
The woman, who was walking with her 2- and 5-year-old children in the 7000 block of Linda Vista Road, was pronounced dead at Sharp Memorial Hospital about 3:40 p.m.
The 2-year-old was in critical condition at the hospital. The 5-year-old was not injured.
A 51-year-old San Diego woman was driving the car, police said. It could not be determined Monday night whether she had been charged. No identities were released.
