The NBA issued another round of fines to players for fighting, bringing the league total in the past four days to 19 players penalized a total of $21,750.
Harvey Grant of the Washington Bullets was fined $4,000 for starting a fight with Joe Dumars of the Detroit Pistons Saturday night. Dumars was fined $1,000 for retaliating. Others fined in that incident: Washington’s Greg Foster and Darrell Walker--$2,000 and $1,500, respectively; Detroit’s Dennis Rodman $1,000, and Mark Aguirre, William Bedford and James Edwards $500 each.
In another incident Saturday night, Jack Haley and Derrick Coleman of the New Jersey Nets were fined $2,500 and $1,000, respectively, and Mark Acres of the Orlando Magic was docked $500.
