Temple City : Extra Payment to Developer

The City Council grudgingly agreed Tuesday to pay an additional $184,000 to the developer of the redevelopment area at the northwest corner of Las Tunas Drive and Rosemead Boulevard.
The extra payment is because developer Champion/LBS Associates will initially have to build around two properties that the city has yet to acquire, said Tom Parrington, an attorney representing the city’s Redevelopment Agency.
The city is still attempting to buy properties belonging to Bank of America and C&R; Clothiers.
