Rookie power forward Derrick Coleman of the New Jersey Nets will miss Friday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns because of an ankle injury, a team spokesman said. Coleman could be back in uniform for next week’s games against Charlotte and Atlanta despite an initially gloomy prognosis, Nets spokesman John Mertz said. On Wednesday, Coach Bill Fitch said Coleman could be out up to 10 days because of a sprained ankle.
