Levi Strauss & Co., San Francisco, has named Peter A. Jacobi, president of its European division, to the newly created position of president for global sourcing. He will be responsible for managing the company’s production requirements. Michael E. Howard, president of the Asia-Pacific division, will succeed Jacobi in Europe.
