THOUSAND OAKS : Drought Will End for Contest Winner
- Share via
Although it has barely rained in Thousand Oaks since January, Conejo Recreation and Park District officials are counting on a record snowfall on Dec. 21.
Officials are holding a “Let It Snow” contest that includes as its prize three tons of snow to be awarded to the child who correctly guesses the low temperature at North Pole, Alaska, on Dec. 18. The contest winner will be announced the next day. The snow will be delivered to any location the child desires. Today is the last day that children can submit a written estimate (in degrees Fahrenheit). Entries are limited to elementary school pupils 5 to 13 years old.
