Trimedyne Loses $7.4 Million

Trimedyne Inc., the Tustin manufacturer of lasers and laser catheters, reported a net loss of $7.4 million for its fiscal year ended Sept. 30, which included writeoffs of $3.4 million. Net income for 1989 totaled $1.3 million.
Revenue fell to $13.7 million from $33.3 million.
For the fourth quarter, the company lost $1.2 million, contrasted with net income of $328,000 in the year-earlier period. Revenue declined 47% to $3.5 million from $6.6 million.
